(Abzeichen und Insignien). A mixed lot of badges and insignia, including:
1. A Black Grade Wound Badge, constructed of blackened magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse maker marked with LDO code “L/54” for Schauerte & Hohfeld, Lüdenscheid, measuring 36.68 mm (w) x 44.43 mm (h), weighing 10.9 grams, demonstrating loss of finish throughout in addition to the loss of the entirety of its pinback, in fair condition.
2. A DRL Sports Badge, Bronze Grade, constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined through at the bottom by a ribbon overlaid by a mobile swastika, surrounding stylized initials “DRL”, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked “HENSLER, PFORZHEIM”, measuring 39.34 mm (w) x 48.53 mm (h), weighing 17.1 grams, in extremely fine condition.
3. A Heer EM/NCO’s visor cap cockade, constructed of aluminum, the reverse retaining both prongs, unmarked, measuring 21 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
4. A Panzer Troops collar tab device, constructed of magnetic metal, retaining all three attachment prongs, unmarked, measuring 25 mm (w) x 25 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
5. An NSKK visor cap eagle, constructed of aluminum, the reverse retaining both prongs, marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code “M1/102” for Frank & Reif, Stuttgart, measuring 65 mm (w) x 36 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
6. A 1934 Nuremberg Rally commemorative badge, constructed of magnetic metal, horizontal pinback, maker marked “L. CHR. LAUER, NÜRNBERG-BERLIN”, measuring 36 mm in diameter, demonstrating some surface oxidation, in very fine condition.
