(Abzeichen und Insignien). A mixed lot of badges and insignia, including:
1. A Black Grade Wound Badge, constructed of blackened bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a clip hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 36.65 mm (w) x 44.08 mm (h), weighing 12.6 grams, demonstrating moderate loss of finish throughout, in very fine condition.
2. Two Wehrmacht cap cockades, each constructed of aluminum with red wool centrepieces, both unmarked and measuring 23 mm in diameter, in very fine condition.
3. A DRL Sports Badge, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, around central stylized initials “DRL”, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked “WERNSTEIN, JENA”, measuring 38.58 mm (w) x 47.90 mm (h), weighing 15.3 grams, an unusual zink example in very fine condition.
4. A Sturmabteilung (SA) kepi eagle, constructed of silvered bronze, the reverse retaining both attachment prongs, bearing a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and code “45”, measuring 36 mm (w) x 28 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
5. A Political visor cap eagle, constructed of aluminum, the reverse retaining all three attachment prongs, marked with an RZM logo and maker code “M1/44” for C. Dinsel, Berlin, measuring 68 mm (w) x 35 mm (h), in near mint condition.
6. A First World War Field Marshal Archduke Friedrich commemorative badge, constructed of a silvered zink alloy, vertical pinback, unmarked, measuring 35 mm (w) x 40 mm (h), demonstrating loss of finish throughout in addition to catch repair, in very fine condition.
