(Auszeichnungen und Abzeichen). A mixed lot of awards and badges, including:
1. A 1914 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of iron and silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm with initials “FW” topped by a royal crown, the suspension loop maker marked “Z” or “N” for a documented but unidentified manufacturer, measuring 43.01 mm (w) x 46.48 mm (h), weighing 17.3 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
2. A ribbon bar featuring four decorations, including a 1914 Iron Cross II Class, an Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 for Combatants, an Austrian War Commemorative Medal, and a Hungarian War Commemorative Medal, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, measuring 60 mm in length, in extremely fine condition.
3. A ribbon bar featuring three decorations, including a War Merit Cross II Class with Swords, an Eastern Front Medal, and an SS 8-Year Long Service Award, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, measuring 45 mm in length, in extremely fine condition.
4. A Heer EM/NCO’s visor cap wreath and cockade, constructed of aluminum, the reverse retaining all attachment prongs, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 40 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
5. An NSDAP membership badge, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, horizontal pinback, maker marked with an RZM logo and maker code “M1/128” for Eugen Schmidhäussler, Pforzheim, measuring 23 mm in diameter, demonstrating flecking and loss of finish to the enamels and base metal, respectively, in very fine condition.
6. A Kriegsmarine Electrical Artificer sleeve badge, constructed of dark navy blue wool with red machine embroidery, unmarked, measuring 70 mm (w) x 85 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
7. A period copy of “DEUTSCHE UNIFORMEN” (“GERMAN UNIFORMS”), constructed of a light card stock binding with 24 paginated interior pages featuring full-colour plates depicting uniforms and insignia from the Wehrmacht, NSDAP, and adjacent organizations, measuring 100 mm (w) x 135 mm (h), a fantastic period reference guide in extremely fine condition.
