Description

(Auszeichnungen und Abzeichen). A mixed lot of three awards and insignia, including:

1. An SS 8-Year Long Service Award, miniature version, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised swastika with ribbed arms, overlaid by central wreathed double Sig runes, the reverse bearing a raised number “8”, overlaid by an inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IN DER SS” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE SS”), unmarked, measuring 15.54 mm in diameter, weighing 2.3 grams, in near mint condition.

2. An NSDAP membership badge, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, horizontal pinback, the reverse marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo, measuring 24 mm in diameter, demonstrating minor flecking to the enamels in addition to loss of silver finish to the base metal, in near extremely fine condition.

3. A Freiwilliger Arbeitsdienst (Voluntary Labour Service/FAD) membership badge, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, horizontal pinback, the reverse maker marked with the logo of F.W. Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid, measuring 24 mm in diameter, demonstrating minor flecking to the enamels in addition to loss of silver finish to the base metal, in extremely fine condition.
