Description
1) A handwritten message, in blue pencil crayon on cardboard, dated 6 May 1945, from Otto to his wife Gertrude in Berlin, notifying her that he is a Russian POW and hopefully they will see each other soon, measures 146 mm (w) x 73 mm (h), shows folding creases and frayed edging, and in fine condition.
2) A pair of black-and-white photographs. One presents a group of four soldiers, linking arms, facing the camera, measures 81 mm (w) x 58 mm (h), and in fine condition.
The other shows three men standing in a park, two wearing Heer overcoats and visor caps, measures 57mm (w) x 86 mm (h), and in fine condition.
3) A World Atlas by the History Board of Germany’s Wehrmacht
A pocket size, soft-cover world atlas, consists of 48 pages of coloured maps, measures 76 mm (w) x 115 mm (h), and in very fine condition.
4) A test certificate issued by the Dresden branch of the Deutsche Lebens-Rettungs-Gesellschaft (German Life Saving Association), to Walter Schieck, dated 16 December 1932, signed in black ink, shows a photograph of Schieck stapled to the second page, measures 90 mm (w) x 132 mm (h), and in fine condition.
5) A registration form with the local authorities by a refugee in Berlin Dr. Andree (born in 1877), measures 208 mm (w) 148 mm (h), shows folding creases and frayed edges, and in good condition
