(Auszeichnungen). A mixed lot of awards, including:

1. A War merit Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Maltese Cross with pebbled arms and a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing an inscription of “FÜR KRIEGSVERDIENST 1939” (“FOR WAR MERIT 1939”), unmarked, measuring 32.32 mm in diameter, 13.3 grams, accompanied by its original package of issue, maker marked “FRANZ KLAMT & SÖHNE, GABLONZ/NEIßE”, measuring 60 mm (w) x 108 mm (h), demonstrating loss of finish to the medal, in better than very fine condition,.

2. A War Merit Cross II Class, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central wreathed date of “1939”, unmarked, measuring 48.49 mm (w) x 48.98 mm (h), weighing 18.9 grams, accompanied by its original package of issue, constructed of light brown paper stock, maker marked “WERNER REDO, SAARLAUTERN”, retaining a wax paper liner, measuring 105 mm (w) x 130 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.

3. A West Wall Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a double-sided oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the top and bottom by ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised pillbox topped by a crossed sword and shovel and a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing an inscription of “FÜR ARBEIT ZUM SCHUTZE DEUTSCHLANDS” (“FOR WORK IN THE PROTECTION OF GERMANY”), unmarked, measuring 33.42 mm (w) x 45.48 mm (h), weighing 19.8 grams, accompanied by its original package of issue, constructed of light brown paper stock, maker marked “FRIEDRICH ORTH, WIEN”, measuring 60 mm (w) x 105 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.

4. A Civil Service 25-Year Faithful Service Award, constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms joined through the quadrants by a circular oak leaf wreath, the obverse bearing a central black enameled swastika, the reverse bearing a central inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE”), unmarked, measuring 40.80 mm (w) x 46.28 mm (h), weighing 20.7 grams (inclusive of ribbon), accompanied by its original presentation case, constructed of a card stock frame with a faux red leather exterior liner, the lid bearing a silvered number “25” situated within a cogwheel, the interior with a maroon felt lid liner and medal bed, the former retaining a manufacturer’s label reading “PAUL MEYBAUER, BERLIN”, measuring 50 mm (w) x 100 mm (l) x 15 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
