Germany, Third Reich. A 1922 Technical Emergency Help Honour Badge, by Wilhelm Fühner

(Technische Nothilfe Ehrenzeichen mit Jahreszahl 1922). Constructed of bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a semi-circular oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a plaque bearing a date of “1922”, overlaid by a ribbed diamond, in turn bearing a cogwheel overlaid by an enameled Technisches Nothilfe (Technical Emergency Help/TeNo) insignia, topped by a German national eagle, the reverse with an elongated block hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, stamped with an issue number of “1495”, the pinback bearing a maker’s mark of “WILHELM FÜHNER, PFORZHEIM”, measuring 35.90 mm (w) x 49.42 mm (h), weighing 14.2 grams, scratching and surface chipping is visible to the enamels with a slight patina visible throughout the base metal, in better than very fine condition.
