In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Feuerschutzpolizei Bajonett für Unteroffiziere). An extremely well-preserved Feuerschutzpolizei NCO’s dress bayonet, measuring 40 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 25.5 cm-long, nickel-plated, magnetic steel blade which retains factory-original sharpening to both the tip and lower edge. A wide fuller runs the majority of the length of the upper edge of each side. The obverse ricasso bears a maker’s mark of “E. U. F. HÖRSTER, SOLINGEN”, circumscribing the firm’s classic monogramlogo. The blade sits securely within a nickel silver hilt which features classic dual curved quillons, with an intact blackened leather buffer pad covering the seam. Two pieces of pebbled black bakelite compose the handle grips, and are fastened in position with dual non-magnetic metal rivets. Accompanying the bayonet is its original scabbard, constructed of a black painted magnetic metal shaft. A downward-pointing hook emanates from the side of the shaft just beneath the throat for the accommodation of a frog. A functional catch situated within the throat holds the bayonet in place during storage. Minor loss of paint is visible to the scabbard, but with no notable damage or wear visible, the bayonet remains in an extremely fine condition.
