Germany, NSDAP. A Political Leader’s Belt and Buckle, by F.W. Assmann & Söhne

(NSDAP Feldbinde für Politische Leiter). A Political Leader’s belt and buckle set, the former constructed of brown leather, one end featuring a reverse tongue perforated with seven sets of dual eyelets for an adjustable fit, the opposite end stitched into a loop to accommodate a gilded aluminum loop which bears raised oak leaves throughout the obverse, and with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo on the reverse accompanied by a maker’s code of “M4/39” for F.W. Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid, measuring 6 cm (w) x 112 cm (l), also bearing illegible stamped marks on the interior, demonstrating minor material fatigue and evidence of late-period glue repair to the tongue, in near extremely fine condition; the latter constructed of gilded aluminum, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a raised NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a clip and attachment claws affixed to a loop, similarly marked with an RZM logo and maker’s code of “M4/39”, measuring 56 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
