(Reichsparteitag Kampfspiele Plakette mit Etui). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse depicting a raised mother and child, surrounded by wheat and grapevines demonstrating the strength of German agriculture, topped by an NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika and circumscribed by an inscription of “REICHSPARTEITAG 1939”, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “N.S. KAMPFSPIELE 1939 / ZWEITER PLATZ” (“NATIONAL SOCIALIST SPORTS COMPETITION 1939 / SECOND PLACE”), unmarked, measuring 9.5 cm in diameter, accompanied by its original presentation case, constructed of a pressed card stock frame with a faux olive-drab leather exterior liner, the interior with a padded white rayon lid liner and partially-intact hinge cover, the former maker marked “CARL POELLATH, SCHOBRENHAUSEN”, with a depressed white velvet medal bed, closing with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, measuring 13.5 cm (w) x 13.5 cm (l) x 2.5 cm (h), demonstrating near-total loss of silver finish to the plaque with some material fatigue to the case, in overall very fine condition.
