(Ordensschnalle). An medal bar featuring four decorations, including:
1 A Wehrmacht 4-Year Long Service Award, constructed of magnetic metal, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon pinned with Luftwaffe device, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, circumscribed by an inscription of “TREUE DIENSTE IN DER WEHRMACHT” (“FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE WEHRMACHT”), the reverse bearing a wreathed number “4”, unmarked, measuring 30.46 mm in diameter, weighing 12.0 grams, in better than very fine condition.
2. A Sudetenland Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon pinned with Prague Castle Bar, the obverse bearing two raised figures, one of which is clutching a flag and the other a length of broken chain, the reverse bearing a central date of “1. OKTOBER 1938”, circumscribed by an inscription of “EIN VOLK, EIN REICH, EIN FÜHRER” (“ONE PEOPLE, ONE NATION, ONE LEADER”), unmarked, measuring 32.05 mm in diameter, weighing 12.6 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
3. A Spanish Order of Military Merit, I Class Cross, constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a Geneva Cross, the obverse with red enameled arms, overlaid by a central enameled disc bearing a Castilian coat of arms, the twelve o’clock arm topped by a crown and loop connecting to a period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 34.55 mm (w) x 47.09 mm (h), weighing 16.1 grams, demonstrating minor chipping and flecking to enamels, in near extremely fine condition.
4. A Commemorative Medal for the Campaign of 1936-1939, constructed of blackened and gilded bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 36.51 mm in diameter, weighing 18.7 grams, in extremely fine condition.
All suspended from a 120 mm-long bar with a zink core, horizontal pinback, and grey wool liner, unmarked, an untouched example to a combat veteran of the Spanish Civil War who served with the Condor Legion in extremely fine condition.
