(Heldentod Urkunde). Constructed of off-white card stock with black ink, named to “FELDWEBEL JOHANN KOMAREK”, who was killed in action on 10 September 1943, issued on 28 September 1943 and certified by the handwritten signature of an unidentified Major, measuring 14 cm (w) x 20 cm (h), demonstrating a central folding crease, in near extremely fine condition.
Footnote: According to the file present in the Bundesarchiv Second World War casualty database, Johann Komarek was born on 13 May 1918 in Sazena (now in the Czech Republic) and was serving with 3. (F) Nachtaufklärungsstaffel at the time of his death, which occurred at Klopitsy, in the Leningrad region.
