Germany, Kriegsmarine. A Mint State Service Flag, Naval Issue, by Buntstoff Berlin

(Reichskriegsflagge). A small state service flag, constructed of a red cotton/rayon blended base, overlaid by central double-sided white cotton discs bearing ribbed black swastikas, with the upper hoist edge of each side bearing a black-and-white government-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, reinforced along three edges with multiple rows of machine stitching, the hoist edge reinforced with a layer of white cotton with a hollow channel retaining an original suspension rope, the reverse of the hoist edge stamped with a Kriegsmarine issue mark, an inscription of “REICHSDIENSTFL.”, size dimensions of “80 X 135” (in centimeters), and a maker’s mark of “BUNTSTOFF BERLIN”, demonstrating no notable damage or fatigue, an interesting military-issue state flag in near mint condition.
