(Kriegsmarine Verleihungsurkunde). A mixed lot of award documents to Bezirkszollkommissar (District Customs Commissioner) Hugo Rohdaß, including:
1. One for a Customs Service Decoration, constructed of off-white paper stock with black ink, named to Rohdaß as a Bezirkskommissar and resident of Neukirchen, issued in Berlin on 1 September 1941, certified by the facsimile signature of President Otto Meissner, measuring 21 cm (w) x 30 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.
2. One for a War Merit Cross II Class with Swords, constructed of off-white paper with black ink, named to Rohdaß as a Bezirkszollkommissar, issued in Berlin on 1 September 1941, certified by the handwritten signature of an unidentified Kapitän zur See, measuring 15 cm (w) x 21 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.
3. One for a War Merit Cross I Class with Swords, constructed of off-white paper with black ink, named to Rohdaß as a Bezirkszollkommissar, issued in Berlin on 30 January 1944, certified by the handwritten signature of an unidentified Korvettenkapitän, measuring 15 cm (w) x 21 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.
4. One for a Krim Shield, constructed of off-white paper with black ink, named to Rhodaß (spelled Rohdass) as a Bezirkszollkommissar of Zollgrenzschutz Schwarzes Meer (Customs and Border Protection Black Sea), issued from Headquarters on2 27 July 1943, certified by the facsimile signature of Generalfeldmarschall Erich von Manstein, measuring 15 cm (w) x 21 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.
Footnote: Hugo Rohdaß survived the war and contributed writings to historical records of customs and taxation in Schleswig-Holstein.
