In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Heer Schiffchen für Offiziere). A well-preserved Heer Officer’s overseas cap, constructed of field-grey wool twill. The cap is fully surrounded by fold-down side walls which slope downward toward the front. Stitched onto the peak is an insignia consisting of a dark green rayon backer bearing a machine-embroidered silver aluminum wire Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, measuring 70 mm (w) x 30 mm (h) and, in the absence of piping, indicating a field-upgrade following a promotion to NCO or Officer ranks. Directly below the eagle, the front centre also features an additional insignia in the form of a field-grey rayon backer bearing a machine-embroidered tri-colour cockade, measuring 23 mm in diameter. A multi-piece grey rayon herringbone twill (HBT) liner fully encompasses the interior. Stamped onto the crown is a Reichsbetriebsnummer (RBNr.) of “0/0250/0201”, indicating manufacture by Karl Heisler, Berlin, along with a size mark of “57”. The cap measures approximately 27 cm (l) x 10.5 cm (h) when folded on a flat surface. Demonstrating only minor soiling and material fatigue, this interesting late-war example remains in an extremely fine condition.
