In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Heer Schiffchen M35 für Mannschaften der Infanterie). A well-preserved Heer Infantry EM/NCO’s M35 overseas cap, constructed of field-grey wool twill. The cap is fully surrounded by fold-down side panels which slope downward toward the front. Ventilation holes flank each side of the crown, and are reinforced with zink grommets. Stitched onto the peak is an insignia consisting of a dark green rayon backer bearing a machine-embroidered silver-grey Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, measuring 60 mm (w) x 30 mm (h). Directly below the eagle, the front also features an additional insignia in the form of a dark green rayon backer bearing a tri-colour cockade, measuring 30 mm (w) x 30 mm (h) and surrounded by a white soutache. A multi-piece beige cotton/rayon blended cloth liner encompasses the interior. Unmarked, the cap measures approximately 29 cm (l) x 11 cm (h) when folded on a flat surface. Issues consistent with age and wear are evident, and include material fatigue throughout the exterior material compounded by vigorous cleaning (with a stark contrast to the nap underneath the walls), and minor soiling and stitched repairs to the interior liner. This late-war example remains in a very fine condition.
