Germany, Heer. An EM/NCO’s Belt and Buckle, by Friedrich Linden

(NSDAP Gürtel mit Schnalle). A Heer EM/NCO’s belt and buckle, the former constructed of blackened leather, one end stitched into a loop for the accommodation of an aluminum clip, the opposite end stitched with a reverse tongue perforated with five sets of dual eyelets for an adjustable fit, unmarked, measuring 4.5 cm (w) x 90 cm (l), demonstrating moderate material fatigue consistent with age and field wear, in very fine condition; the latter constructed of pebbled aluminum, the obverse bearing a central raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, situated within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD WITH US”) with oak leaf branches, the reverse with a loop and attachment claws emanating from a functional roller, the former also accommodating a brown leather strap, both the buckle and strap maker marked with the logo of Friedrich Linden, Lüdenscheid, measuring 64 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
