In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Heer Schiffchen für Offiziere der Sanitätstruppe). An extremely well-preserved Heer Medical Officer’s M38 overseas cap, constructed of field-grey wool. The cap is fully surrounded by fold-down side panels, which are scalloped toward the front. A length of silver aluminum wire piping fully surrounds the crown, while the front of the wall is similarly trimmed with identical piping across the peak. Stitched onto the peak is an insignia consisting of a field-grey rayon backer bearing a machine-embroidered silver aluminum wire Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, measuring 70 mm (w) x 30 mm (h). Directly below the eagle, a wire and wool tri-colour cockade is also affixed to the front of the cap, and measures 24 mm in diameter. The cockade is surrounded by branch-determinant cornflower-blue wool soutache, in an unusual substitution from standard Heer-issue rayon soutaches. A partial brown leather sweatband extends across the forehead, while the interior is fully encompassed by a multi-piece field-grey rayon liner. A size mark of “56” is stamped onto the crown in black ink. Otherwise unmarked, the cap measures approximately 28 cm (l) x 11.5 cm (h) when folded on a flat surface. Sporadic material fatigue is visible throughout the exterior of the base material, but the cap remains in an overall near extremely fine condition.
