In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Feuerschutzpolizei Bajonett). A Feuerschutzpolizei dress bayonet, measuring 39.5 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 24.5 cm-long, nickel-plated, magnetic steel blade with a sharpened tip and lower edge, and with a wide fuller running the majority of the upper edge of each side of the blade. Unmarked, the blade sits securely within a one-piece, nickel-plated, magnetic steel hilt with a classic Feuerschutzpolizei double-hooked quillon. Two pieces of pebbled black bakelite compose the handle grip, and are secured together with dual magnetic metal rivets. The bayonet is accompanied by its original scabbard, constructed of a black painted magnetic metal shaft. A downward-pointing hook emanates from the side of the shaft for the accommodation of a frog. Fully unmarked, the bayonet demonstrates issues consistent with age and wear, including running marks to the blade, the loss of the buffer pad, sporadic loss of nickel plating to the hilt, loss of scabbard paint, and the detachment of the scabbar’s interior clip which renders insertion and extraction of the bayonet difficult. It remains in an overall very fine condition.
