(Freikorps Auszeichnungen). A pair of awards for Freikorps service, including:
1. A Silesian Eagle, I Class, constructed of silvered and patinated brass, the obverse consisting of a Silesian-style German national eagle with feathering executed in exceptional detail, clutching a silvered banner in its talons bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR SCHLESIEN” (“FOR SILESIA”), overlaid across its chest by a silvered Brustmond, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 31.26 mm (w) x 42.10 mm (h), weighing 23.6 grams, demonstrating loss of silver finish to the obverse fixtures, a fine-quality example produced c. 1940 in extremely fine condition.
2. A Baltic Cross, constructed of silvered and gilded bronze, consisting of a narrow and slightly vaulted Geneva Cross, the obverse overlaid by a gilded Lily Cross, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse applique in place, with a clip hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch emanating from a circular baseplate, unmarked, measuring 44.78 mm (w) x 44.94 mm (h), weighing 13.8 grams, demonstrating possible replacement of the catch, in near extremely fine condition.
