Description

(Bug-Stern). Constructed of silvered brass, the obverse consisting of an eight-pointed radiant star, bearing a central pair of crossed swords, circumscribed by an inscription of “SCHUTZTRUPPE BUG”, in turn surrounded by a circular laurel leaf wreath, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 54.22 mm (w) x 55.02 mm (h), weighing 10.4 grams, demonstrating total loss of silver finish and black paint to the base metal and centrepiece, respectively, in very fine condition.
