(Baltenkreuz mit Urkunde an die Eiserne Division). Constructed of silvered and gilded brass, consisting of a narrow and slightly vaulted Geneva Cross, the obverse overlaid by a gilded Lily Cross, the reverse with four visible rivets securing the obverse applique in place, with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 45.15 mm (w) x 45.44 mm (h), weighing 12.6 grams, demonstrating a spot of tarnishing to the six o’clock arm of the Lily Cross, in better than very fine condition.
Accompanied by its original award document, constructed of off-white paper with ink, featuring the letterhead of the Commander of the Rear Section of the Iron Division, named to “OBERLTN. RICHARD BODE” of “ERS. DEPOT DER EIS. DIV” (Replacement/Supply Depot of the Iron Division), dated 15 January 1920 and certified by the handwritten signature of Major Goerz, measuring 21 cm (w) x 16 cm (h), a rare Iron Division-specific award document in extremely fine condition.
