In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

                          Description
(Heer Dienstrock für einen Generalmajor). An extremely well-preserved Generalmajor’s service tunic, constructed of a field-grey rayon/wool blended cloth. It features a turned-down collar fully lined with a layer of smooth dark green wool, and which are flanked on each side by a pair of matching tabs. The latter are constructed of red wool with buckram cores, topped by Litzen executed in golden-yellow celleon and gold bullion wire, and measure 42 mm (w) x 95 mm (l). The shoulders are topped by boards constructed of red wool with rigid card stock cores, and which are topped by a single length of silver aluminum wire piping interwoven with dual lengths of gold bullion wire piping. Each measuring 40 mm (w) x 100 mm (l), the boards are secured in place with machine stitching through the seam of the sleeve at the outer edge, and on the inner edge with gilded magnetic metal buttons. The cuff of each sleeve is rolled up and secured in place with a single piece of stitching. Four pleated pockets are set into the breasts, all closing with scalloped flaps perforated with reinforced buttonholes, in turn meeting gilded magnetic metal buttons. Stitched onto the upper right breast just above the corresponding pocket is an insignia consisting of a dark green wool backer bearing a golden-yellow celleon Wehrmacht eagle, measuring 105 mm (w) x 45 mm (h) overall. Threaded loops are set into the tunic over and above the left and right pockets for the accommodation of awards and ribbon bars with vertical pinbacks (likely a German Cross with respect to the right pocket. The tunic closes with six gilded magnetic metal buttons on the right flap meeting an equal number of reinforced buttonholes on the left flap. A ribbon for a 1939 Iron Cross II Class is stitched onto the tunic through the second buttonhole. A multi-piece field-grey rayon liner fully encompasses the interior, and includes a single pocket set into the upper left breast. Emanating from the right armpit is an integral strap culminating in a functional nickel-plated magnetic steel spring clip for the inclusion of a dagger hanger. Unmarked, the tunic measures approximately 42 cm across the shoulders, with an arm length of 60 cm, and an overall body length of 66 cm. Demonstrating only minor and sporadic soiling and material fatigue, this high-quality tunic remains in a near extremely fine condition.
