In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

                          Description
(Heer Schiffchen M38 für Offiziere der Flak/Artillerie). A well-preserved Heer Flak/Artillery Officer’s M38 field cap, constructed of field-grey wool. The cap is fully surrounded by fold-down side panels, scalloped toward the front, with the edge of the peak trimmed with a length of silver aluminum wire piping. An additional length of identical piping surrounds the outer edge of the crown. The former is flanked by two ventilation holes, both reinforced with grey-painted magnetic metal grommets. Stitched onto the peak is an insignia consisting of a dark green wool backer bearing a hand-embroidered silver aluminum wire Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, measuring 65 mm (w) x 35 mm (h). Directly below the eagle, the lower peak also features a tri-colour wire cockade measuring 23 mm in diameter, surrounded by a soutache executed in red Flak/Artillery Waffenfarbe. The interior is fully encompassed by a multi-piece grey rayon liner, while a grey leather sweatband extends across the forehead and bears an embossed mark of “DEUTSCHES FABRIKAT” (“GERMAN MADE”). Otherwise unmarked, the cap measures approximately 28 mm (l) x 11 cm (h) when folded on a flat surface. Minor issues consistent with age and wear are evident, and include minor material fatigue throughout the wire insignia, as well as sporadic soiling to the interior liner. This field-worn cap remains in a near extremely fine condition.
