In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Deutscher Luftsportverband Schirmmütze für Fieger). A well-preserved Deutscher Luftsportverband (German Air Sports Association/DLV) motor pilot’s visor cap, constructed of dark grey wool. The cap features reinforced sidewalls fully lined on the exterior with a ribbed black mohair cap band. Both the top and bottom edges of the cap band are trimmed with lengths of dark grey wool piping, while an additional band of identical piping trims the outer edge of the crown. The former presents free of any internal wire or reinforcements, giving the crown a relaxed “saddle” appearance. Pinned onto the peak is an aluminum German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, measuring 36 mm (w) x 30 mm (h) overall and featuring a black highlighted to the swastika. Directly below the eagle, the centre of the cap band retains a matching aluminum insignia in the form of a DLV-style tri-colour cockade and oak leaf wreath, flanked on each side by stylized wings and measuring 95 mm (w) x 40 mm (h) overall. The cap band is flanked by blackened metal studs securing in place a black leatherette chinstrap which secures in place with a loop and metal stud. Completing the exterior features is a protruding blackened vulcanfibre visor. The interior of the sidewalls is lined with a grey leather sweatband, while the crown is fully encompassed by a black rayon liner. A white ink size stamp remains partially visible on the crown. Otherwise unmarked, the cap measures approximately 22 cm (w) x 26 mm (l) x 15 cm (h). Minor material fatigue is visible to both the exterior and interior, but the cap remains in a near extremely fine condition.
