Germany, DAF. A Pair of German Labour Front Werkschar Breeches

(Deutsche Arbeitsfront Werkschar Stiefelhose). A pair of fine quality German Labour Front Werkschar breeches, constructed of heavy black corduroy, with one vertical-slit pocket per side, along with one additional horizontal-slit pocket on the right side of the reverse. There is an additional pair of matching straps sewn to the inside of the rear beltline with one black bakelite button each, acting as optional fasteners for a pair of suspenders. Along the reverse is a matching black corduroy pull tab on either side with a metal keeper for optional adjustment. These breeches are secured shut in the front via a vertical slit with a total of five matching black bakelite buttons that are met by reinforced button-holes on the opposing side. The interior is unlined, except for the beltline and the interior of the pockets, which are lined with light grey cotton. The pant leg cuffs have a 25 cm long vertical slit that are secured shut via a metal zipper. This pair measures approximately 42 mm across the waist, with an inseam of 68 cm, and an overall length of 102 cm. This pair demonstrates light wear and material fatigue, without obvious signs of damage, in extremely fine condition.
