(HJ Abzeichen). A mixed lot of HJ badges, including:
1. A general membership badge, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, vertical pinback, the reverse marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code “M1/103” for Carl Poellath, Schrobenhausen, measuring 15 mm (w) x 26 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
2. An edelweiss insignia, constructed of aluminum with gilt highlights, the reverse marked with an RZM logo and maker code “M1/159” for Hans Doppler, Wels, measuring 26 mm (w) x 54 mm (l), a quintessential example of an insignia worn by Austro-Bavarian DJ/HJ personnel in near mint condition.
3. An HJ Proficiency Badge, Iron Grade, constructed of blackened zink, the obverse consisting of a Tyr rune, bearing a central mobile swastika, situated within a circular ring bearing an inscription of “FÜR LEISTUNGEN IN DER H.J.” (“FOR MERIT IN THE H.J.”), the reverse with a vertical pinback, stamped with an award number of “177631”, also marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code “M1/34” for Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid, measuring 30 mm (w) x 52 mm (h), demonstrating pitting and depressions to the reverse consequent to handling and storage, in addition to loss of finish throughout the base metal, a late-war example in very fine condition.
