1. A War Merit Cross II Class, constructed of bronzed zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central wreathed date of “1939”, unmarked, measuring 47.93 mm (w) x 48.00 mm (h), weighing 17.5 grams, demonstrating moderate loss of bronze finish, accompanied by its original package of issue, constructed of light brown paper stock, the exterior bearing a maker’s mark of “FERDINAND HOFFSTÄTTER, BONN”, measuring 60 mm (w) x 105 mm (h), demonstrating minor loss of finish throughout the base metal, in near extremely fine condition.
2. Eastern Front Medal, constructed of silvered and patinated zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “WINTERSCHLACHT IM OSTEN 1941/42” (“WINTER BATTLE IN THE EAST 1941/42”), unmarked, measuring 35.70 mm (w) x 44.02 mm (h), weighing 19.4 grams, accompanied by its original package of issue, constructed of light brown paper stock, the exterior bearing a maker’s mark of “WALTER & HENLEIN, GABLONZ”, measuring 60 mm (w) x 105 mm (h), also accompanied by a matching ribbon bar, set on a 30 mm-long magnetic metal bar with a horizontal pinback, demonstrating minor loss of finish throughout the base metal of the award and some oxidation to the core of the bar, in near extremely fine condition.
3. A West Wall Medal, constructed of bronzed zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a double-sided oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the top and bottom by ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised pillbox topped by a crossed sword and shovel and German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR ARBEIT ZUM SCHUTZE DEUTSCHLANDS” (“FOR WORK IN THE PROTECTION OF GERMANY”), unmarked, measuring 33.20 mm (w) x 45.41 mm (h), weighing 13.4 grams, accompanied by its original package of issue, constructed of beige paper stock, the exterior bearing a maker’s mark of “CARL POELLATH, SCHROBENHAUSEN”, measuring 60 mm (w) x 105 mm (h), demonstrating minor loss of finish throughout the base metal, in near extremely fine condition.
