(Abzeichen). A pair of service badges, including:

1 A Luftwaffe Ground Assault Badge, constructed of silvered and patinated zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, overlaying a stylized cloud from which a lightning bolt emanates and strikes the ground, the reverse with an integral hinge and vertical pinback meeting an integral catch, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of manufacture by Arno Wallpach, Salzburg, measuring 41.76 mm (w) x 55.07 mm (h), weighing 30.9 grams, demonstrating near-total loss of finish throughout the base metal with minor and sporadic oxidation, in very fine condition.

2. A Black Grade Wound Badge, constructed of blackened brass, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a clip hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 36.84 mm (w) x 44.62 mm (h), weighing 13.8 grams, demonstrating possible restoration of finish, in very fine condition.
