(Nationalsozialistisches Fliegerkorps Teilnehmerplakette Küstenflug 1938, mit Etui). Constructed of a coppered bronze alloy, the obverse bearing a central raised NSFK insignia, circumscribed by inscriptions of “NATIONALSOZIALISTICHES FLIEGERKORPS” (“NATIONAL SOCIALIST FLYERS CORPS”) and “KÜSTENFLUG 1938” (“COASTAL FLIGHT 1938”), the reverse bearing a raised inscription "MIT UNSEREM FÜHRER IM GLEICHEN SCHRITT UND TRITT FLIEGEN WIRE UNSER EWIGES DEUTSCHLAND" (“WITH THE SAME PACE AND STEP AS OUR FÜHRER, WE FLY FOR OUR ETERNAL GERMANY”), situated above a facsimile signature of NSFK Korpsführer Friedrich Christiansen and an engraved award number of “526”, unmarked, measuring 95 mm (w) x 78 mm (h), accompanied by its original presentation case, constructed of a pressed card stock frame with a faux black leather interior liner, the interior with a padded white rayon lid liner bearing a dedication from the Korpsführer, with a fitted dark blue velvet medal bed, closing with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, unmarked, measuring 120 mm (w) x 100 mm (l) x 25 mm (h), with the lid liner folding down to conceal the plaque’s original award document, named to “OB. FEUERW. HAAR” for a recipient who held the Fire Brigade rank of Oberfeuerwehrmann, issued in Berlin on 3 July 1938, certified by the stamped signature of Friedrich Christiansen, measuring 110 mm (w) x 90 mm (h), a matching set issued for an uncommon NSFK flight event in overall extremely fine condition.
