(Heer Insignien für einen Major der Sturmgeschütze). A matching set of Heer Sturmgeschütze (Assault Gun) rank insignia, including:
1. A pair of collar tabs, each constructed of field-grey wool with a buckram core, trimmed with red piping, and pinned with magnetic metal Danziger-style Totenkopf insignia with red wool underlays, both unmarked and measuring 40 mm (w) x 65 mm (l), demonstrating some surface oxidation throughout the Totenkopf devices, in uniform-removed and overall better than very fine condition.
2. A pair of shoulder boards, each constructed of red wool with rigid card stock cores, topped by four bands of interwoven silver aluminum wire piping, pinned with gilded numerals “277” indicating issue to Sturmgeschütz-Abteilung 277/Sturmgeschütz-Brigade 277, and retaining a pebbled magnetic metal button, both unmarked and measuring 35 mm (w) x 110 mm (l), demonstrating minor material fatigue throughout, in uniform-removed and overall better than very fine condition.
