Germany, Luftwaffe. A Set of Officer’s Visor Cap Insignia

(Luftwaffe Insignien für die Schirmmütze). A matching set of Luftwaffe Officer’s visor cap insignia, including:

1. An eagle, constructed of dark grey wool, the obverse bearing a hand-embroidered Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse retaining a partially-intact paper backer and period label, measuring 62 mm (w) x 35 mm (h), demonstrating minor material fatigue, in uniform-removed and near extremely fine condition.

2. A wreath and cockade, constructed of padded dark grey wool, the obverse bearing a central hand-embroidered silver aluminum wire oak leaf wreath, surrounding a tri-colour cockade of identical construction, flanked on each side by stylized wings, the reverse retaining an intact black paper backer and period DRGM label, measuring 135 mm (w) x 40 mm (h), demonstrating minor material fatigue, in uniform-removed and near extremely fine condition.
