In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Luftwaffe Pelzmütze für Offiziere). A unique and extremely well-reserved Luftwaffe Officer’s winter field cap, constructed of dark grey wool. The crown is fully surrounded by a layer of heavy fur, extending across the peak and culminating in two ear flaps which offer optional ear and neck protection to the wearer in inclement weather conditions. When not in use, the flaps roll up and secure in place over the crown with two drawstrings. A length of silver aluminum wire piping trims the outer edge of the crown. Pinned onto the peak is an aluminum insignia consisting of a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, measuring 65 mm (w) x 45 mm (h). Stitched onto the centre of the fur directly below the eagle is an additional Officer’s-grade insignia consisting of a padded dark grey wool backer bearing a silver aluminum wire tri-colour cockade, flanked by wings of identical construction. Completing the exterior features is a protruding visor with a card stock core, fully lined in identical wool. The interior is encompassed by a padded brown rayon liner featuring a cross-stitched quilted pattern throughout the crown. Stitched onto the top is a dark brown wool trapezoid bearing an embroidered silver-grey owner’s surname of “GESCH”. Otherwise unmarked, the cap measures approximately 20 cm (w) x 28 mm (l) x 16 cm (h). Demonstrating only minor signs of fatigue consistent with age and field wear, this upgraded and privately purchased Officer’s cap remains in an extremely fine condition.
