In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Kriegsmarine Schirmmütze für Mannschaften der Küstenartillerie/Landeinheiten). A well-preserved Kriegsmarine Coastal Artillery EM/NCO’s visor cap, constructed of light field-grey wool. It features reinforced side walls fully lined on the exterior with a dark green wool cap band. Both the top and bottom edges of the cap band are trimmed with dark green piping, while an additional length of identical piping surrounds the outer edge of the crown. Pinned onto the peak is an insignia consisting of a gilded aluminum Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, measuring 64 mm (w) x 25 mm (h). Directly below the eagle, the centre of the cap band is pinned with a partially-gilded aluminum wreath and cockade, measuring 65 mm (w) x 40 mm (h). The lower edge of the band is flanked on each side by black magnetic metal studs which accommodate a multi-piece black leatherette chinstrap, adjusted with functional blackened magnetic metal buckles. A protruding vulcanfibre visor completes the exterior features, and is finished in black on the obverse and in brown on the reverse. A multi-piece field-gre rayon liner encompasses the interior, while a wide brown leather sweatband surrounds the walls. Unmarked, the cap measures approximately 23 cm (w) x 26.5 cm (l) x 16 cm (h). Issues consistent with age and field wear are evident, and include minor material fatigue to the exterior material (partially exposing the crown piping core at the back), deterioration of the sweatband (with loss of stitching to the rim), fatigue and soiling of the liner, and the loss of the crown’s moisture guard. The cap remains in a very fine condition.
