Germany, Wehrmacht. A Trench Art Model Spitfire Hand-Carved by a German POW

(Modellflugzeug). An interesting trench art model Supermarine Spitfire, constructed of multiple pieces of hand-carved and lacquered dark brown wood, with components riveted or glued together, consisting of a faithful scale model of an early two-propeller aircraft, affixed to a pedestal with a single metal rivet, unmarked and measuring 24 cm in total height, the plane detaches from the pedestal and sits in a diving position when attached, a super example of POW ephemera possibly carved by a captive Luftwaffe serviceman and depicting a famous aircraft from across the divide, in better than very fine condition.
