Description

(Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps Tischdekoration). A unique commemorative desk ornament to a Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps (National Socialist Motor Corps/NSKK) Officer, consisting of a double-sided NSKK insignia executed in silvered bronze and presented in exceptional detail, riveted to an elongated marble pedestal, in turn emanating from a base of identical construction, the face of the former bearing a bronze plaque overlaid by an engraved and blackened dedication of “U. O/STURMF. KAUZ, GEW. V. TRUPP II 1939”, indicating a gift to Obersturmführer Kauz from the men of NSKK Squad II, measuring 11.5 cm (w) x 7 cm (l) x 20.5 cm (h), some loosening of the rivets securing the three components is evidence, in addition to some surface scratching throughout the marble features, a unique dedicated piece in better than very fine condition.
