A rare Gendarmerie Officer’s parade bandolier and ammo cartouche, the former constructed of a police-green wool base with a reinforced canvas core, overlaid across the length of the obverse with a silver aluminum wire tresse which encompasses its full width, terminating at one end in a pebbled aluminum clip adjusted with a functional pebbled oval aluminum buckle, unmarked, measuring 5 cm in width, demonstrating minor fatigue and mothing to the wool underlay, in better than very fine condition; connecting with two blackened leather straps to a cartouche, constructed of multiple panels of brown leather, featuring a folding lid bearing an aluminum Ordnungspolizei insignia in the form of a semi-circular oak leaf wreath overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, with a strap perforated with an eyelet emanating from the lid and fitting through a an aluminum stud set into the lower edge for secure closure, unmarked, measuring 12 cm (w) x 8 cm (h), demonstrating minor material fatigue to the leather, in extremely fine condition.
