Germany, Third Reich. A Carl Eickhorn 75th Anniversary Commemorative Publication

(Leisten und Dienen). An extremely well-preserved copy of “Leisten und Dienen” (“Producing and Serving”), a commemorative publication self-published in 1940 by the noted Solingen blade firm of Carl Eickhorn to celebrate the company’s 75th anniversary, constructed of a grey card stock binding, the cover bearing the firm’s famous squirrel logo situated above dates “1865-1940”, the interior content consisting of paginated paper stock pages featuring a detailed history of the company and its produced presented in a rich Gothic script, supplemented by photographs and illustrations in both colour and black-and-white, some featuring images of the manufacturing process, measuring 21 cm (w) x 30 cm (h), demonstrating a small patch of material fatigue to the lower left corner of the cover, a superb commemorative book by a legendary edged weapon manufacture of interest to any blade collector, in extremely fine condition.
