(Heer Auszeichnungen und Verleihungsurkunden). A lot of awards and documents and paperwork to Waffenoberfeldwebel (Ordnance Sergeant) Heinz Dimke, including:
1. A 1939 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of iron and silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central mobile swastika, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1939”, the reverse six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, unmarked, measuring 44.48 mm (w) x 47.32 mm (h), weighing 20.4 grams, with minor oxidation evident to the core, in near extremely fine condition.
2. An award document for a 1939 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of white paper stock with black ink, named to Dimke as a member of Kradschützen-Bataillon 8, issued in Russia on 30 March 1943, featuring the handwritten signature of 8. Panzer-Division Commander Generalmajor Sebastian Fichtner, the reverse notably bearing a typewritten inscription describing Dimke’s meritorious actions on the Eastern Front, featuring the handwritten signature of an unidentified Leutnant measuring 140 mm (w) x 200 mm (h), with some material fatigue evident, in near extremely fine condition.
3. A War Merit Cross I Class with Swords, constructed of silvered zink, consisting of a Maltese Cross with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the obverse with pebbled arms and a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting an integral catch, the reverse of the pinback maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “62” for Kerbach & Oesterhelt, Dresden, measuring 48.80 mm (w) x 48.72 mm (h), weighing 19.5 grams, with most of the silver finish lost, in near extremely fine condition.
4. An award document for a War Merit Cross I Class with Swords, constructed of white paper with black ink, named to Dimke as part of the Staff of Panzer-Aufklärungsabteilung 8, issued in Russia on 1 September 1943, featuring the handwritten signature of 8. Panzer-Division Commander Oberst Gottfried Frölich (German Cross in Gold, 2 January 1942; Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross, 20 December 1943), measuring 210 mm (w) x 295 mm (h), with some material fatigue evident, in near extremely fine condition.
5. A postwar reproduced photo showing DImke mounted on a Horse, the reverse bearing a handwritten inscription of “5. 3. 39 / TIBOR LAGER”, measuring 82 mm (w) x 135 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
