In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

A fascinating Heer-issue Wehrpaß, constructed of a field-grey card stock binding with 52 paginated interior pages filled with handwritten and stamped entries, named to “GEORG STEPHAN”, who was born on 2 April 1019 and who entered active military service in 1939 with 5. Erg./Pi. 13 Struppen (construction and engineer unit), who attained the rank of Obergefreiter on 1 June 1941 and who, in a length combat career documented in both handwritten entries and pasted typewritten inserts saw service during the April 1941 invasion of Yugoslavia (through what is now Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia), before being shifted to the Eastern Front where he saw combat in Ukraine and Russia proper, surviving these engagements to from the beginning of Operation Barbarossa through to the spring of 1943 when the Wehrmacht lost the initiative and began its retreat in the east, notably participating in defensive actions through April of 1945, when Stephan participated in the Battle of Berlin (Brandenburg), all while serving with a number of engineer and construction units, retaining paperwork, a 5 Franc note from his brief intermission in France in 1942, as well as a certified studio portrait of Stephan, a superb example documenting the lengthy and multi-front career of a Heer serviceman in better than very fine condition.
