(Wehrpässe). An interesting pair of Wehrpässe, including:
1. One constructed of a field-grey card binding with 56 paginated interior pages, unissued and fully unmarked, measuring 10.5 cm (w) x 15 cm (h), accompanied by a matching folio, constructed of faux dark brown leather, the interior featuring pockets to accommodate the Wehrpass’ front and back covers, measuring 11 cm (w) x 16.5 cm (h), a rare unspoiled set in extremely fine condition.
2. One constructed of a field-grey card stock binding with 52 paginated interior pages, featuring handwritten and stamped entries to Reinhard Konieczny, a native of Austria who was born on 1 December 1923, entered Wehrmacht service in 1942 with Landesschützen-Ersatz-Kompanie 3/17 before going on to serve with a variety of units on the Eastern Front from 8 September 1942 until 15 February 1945, receiving the General Assault Badge on 30 September 1943 and the Black Grade Wound Badge on12 December 1943 (with entries noting two wounds on 9 September and 27 November during combat against Soviet forces), retaining a certified black-and-white studio portrait of Konieczny, measuring 10.5 cm (w) x 15 cm (h), in better than very fine condition.
