(Luftwaffe Soldbuch). Constructed of a blue-grey card stock binding with 24 paginated interior pages, named to Unteroffizier “KARL-FELIX BÖHRE”, with handwritten and stamped entries indicating that the Soldbuch was a replacement and that Böhre was assigned to the Staff of 17. Luftwaffen-Feld-Division, retaining a certified photo of the recipient in the uniform of an Unteroffizier, measuring 10 cm (w) x 14 cm (h), demonstrating minor material fatigue throughout, in very fine condition.
Footnote: Within weeks of its formation, in January 1943 17. Luftwaffen-Feld-Division was assigned to Army Group D and transferred to northern France, where it performed coastal defence in the area between Dieppe and Le Havre. It was transferred to the Heer on 1 November 1943 and transformed into a static infantry unit. Remaining in this position until June 1944, the unit engaged advancing Allied forces following the D-Day landings, before retreating with other Wehrmacht forces as the Allied pushed past Caen. Following heavy defensive fighting against British and Canadian forces, the division was shattered and disbanded on 28 September 1944.
