Description

(Flugzeugführerabzeichen Verleihungsurkunde). A historically significant Luftwaffe Pilot’s Badge award document, constructed of off-white paper stock with black ink, named to “GEFREITER FRIEDRICH SIMON”, a fighter pilot who would go on to become an ace after achieving 22 victories while serving with Jagdgeschwader 51 during the Second World World, issued in Berlin on 21 December 1938 and certified by the handwritten signature of Generalmajor Robert Ritter von Greim, measuring 21 cm (w) x 30 cm (H), demonstrating a folding crease, a desirable award document in extremely fine condition.

Footnote: Friedrich Simon received the German Cross in Gold on 29 March 1944 for meritorious service in air combat. He was listed as missing in action on 9 March 1945, and later confirmed killed.
