(Kriegsmarine Gebührnisbuch mit Papiere). A lot of identity documents and paper items to Leo Lang, youth Kriegsmarine recruit, consisting of:
1. A Gebührnisbuch (Soldbuch), constructed of a brown card stock binding with paginated interior pages filled with handwritten and stamped entries, indicating that Lang was born on 2 January 1927 in Grafenaschau (near Garmisch-Partenkirchen), entered Kriegsmarine service on 16 October 1943 at the age of 16, and was found to be medically unfit for service in Hamburg from 8 December 1943 until 8 June 1944, retaining a certified black-and-white studio portrait of Lang, measuring 10.5 cm (w) x 14.5 cm (h), demonstrating material fatigue consistent with wartime concealment on Lang’s person, in very fine condition.
2. An award document for a War Merit Cross II Class with Swords, constructed of off-white paper with black ink, named to Lang as a Leichtmatrose, issued in Oslo and dated 15 November 1943, certified by the facsimile signature of Admiral Otto Ciliax, measuring 15 cm (w) x 20.5 cm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
3. A lot of eleven assorted documents and paper items, including school reports, citizenship papers, release cards, and postcards, in overall near extremely fine condition.
