Two certificates, measuring 210x275mm, near extremely fine condition with folding creases, two punched holes, and age-related discolouration; and measuring 210x276mm, extremely fine condition with folding creases and two punched holes.
The first is an award certificate for the Wehrmacht Long Service Award 4th Class to Bootsmannsmaat (Kriegsmarine equivalent of NCO) Ernst Pucknat of the Kommando Schiffsartillerieschule (Commando Ship Artillery School). It is dated to Wilhelmshaven (northern Germany) on October 2, 1936 and signed in black ink by a Rear Admiral and the 2nd Admiral of the North Sea, the name is indecipherable.
The second is a marksmanship certificate, stating that Bootsmann (Boatswain) Ernst Pucknat of the 1st Company of the 6. Schiffsstammabteilung (6th Ship Core Detachment) is eligible to wear the 1st Grade Marksmanship Lanyard. The document is dated to Wilhelmshaven on September 26, 1938 and is signed in blue ink by a Kapitänleutnant (Lieutenant of the Kriegsmarine) and Company Chief, the name could be Billingmair or similar.
