(Ärmelband Kreta Verleihungsurkunde). A Kriegsmarine-issue Kreta Cuff Title award document, named to Leutnant zur See “JÜRGEN WESTERHOFF”, dated 1 October 1943, certified by the handwritten signature of Vizeadmiral Wilhelm Meendsen-Bohlken (Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross, 15 May 1944), measuring 14.5 cm (w) x 20.5 cm (h), demonstrating creasing and minor discolouration throughout, accompanied by a typewritten telegram issued from Athens and dated 4 May 1944, indicating that Westerhoff is a messenger attached to the Office of the Commanding Admiral of the Aegean district, bears classified documents essential to the war effort, and is to be provided with all assistance required, certified by the handwritten signature of an unidentified Korvettenkapitän and Abwehr Officer, measuring 20.5 cm (w) x 14.5 cm (h), demonstrating creasing, in addition to minor tearing and discolouration, a fascinating accompaniment in very fine condition.
