Germany, Luftwaffe. A Rare and Mint General’s Dagger Hanger

(Gehänge für den Luftwaffen Generalsdolch). An exceptional Luftwaffe General’s dagger hanger, consisting of a functional gilded metal alloy spring clip, decorated with raised oak leaves and with two loops emanating from the lower edge, each in turn accommodating a dark grey doeskin strap topped by a layer of dark grey rayon threading and trimmed with machine-embroidered silver aluminum wire tresses, both adjusted with functional gilded buckles similarly bearing raised oak leaves, and culminating in functional gilded spring clips top lock onto a corresponding scabbard’s loops, the uppermost clip bearing a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and code “UE 10”, mostly likely indicating production by Wilhelm Deus, Solingen, measuring 29.5 cm in total length as presenting, a striking example retaining virtually all of its original gilt finish and with no notable damage or wear evident, in near mint condition.
