Germany, RAD. A Rare and Mint Emsland Cuff Title, with Award Document to Vormann Walter Flubke

 (Reichsarbeitsdienst Ärmelband Emsland für Offiziere, mit Urkunde). A scarce pair of Reichsarbeitsdienst (Reich Labour Service/RAD) items, including:

1. An Emsland cuff title, constructed of black rayon, the obverse bearing a machine-embroidered silver aluminum inscription of “EMSLAND” in Fraktur script, the reverse bearing a Reichsleitung des Reichsarbeitsdienstes (RLAD) insignia, otherwise unmarked, measuring 25 mm (w) x 420 mm (l) when unfolded on a flat surface, in unissued and near mint condition.

2. A primary award document for the Emsland cuff title, constructed of off-white paper stock with black ink, the obverse topped by a facsimile depiction of the title, and with a black-and-white photograph of RAD men in formation and wielding shovels, bearing a handwritten dedication to “VM. WALTER FLUBKE” (Vormann, of Foreman equivalent), who was a member of RAD 6/317 Melle/Grönegau, awarded from Melle on 23 OCtober 1937, measuring 24 cm (w) x 32 cm (h), demonstrating folding creases, in near extremely fine condition.
