(Abzeichen). A mixed lot of badges, including:

1. A First World War patriotic Iron Cross badge, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with black enameled arms trimmed with white borders, bearing a central gilt initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a gilt date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a gilt crown, the reverse with a clip hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a flat write catch, marked “W”, measuring 21 mm (w) x 21 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.

2. A small First World War patriotic pendant, constructed of gilded and silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a ribbon executed in an Imperial red, white, and black motif with an Austrian black and yellow centrepiece, accommodating a black and white enameled Iron Cross hanger, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 26 mm (w) x 25 mm (h), in extremely fine condition,.

3. A Reich Labour Service of Female Youth (RADwJ) commemorative service badge, constructed of silvered zink, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, maker marked with the logo of an unidentified manufacturer, measuring 44 mm (w) x 34 mm (h), demonstrating some loss of finish and minor oxidation, in very fine condition.

4. A 1936 Berlin Olympics Commemorative Medallion in Bronze, constructed of bronze, the obverse bearing a raised female figure clutching an olive branch and laurel crown, circumscribed by an inscription of “ZUR EHRE DES VATERLANDES ZUM RUHME DES SPORTS” (“TO THE HONOUR OF THE FATHERLAND, TO THE GLORY OF SPORTS”), the reverse bearing a central raised bell overlaid by a German national eagle clutching Olympic rings, the rim of the bell bearing an inscription of “ICH RUFE DIE JUGEND DER WELT” (“I CALL THE YOUTH OF THE WORLD”), circumscribed by an inscription of “OLYMPISCHE SPIELE BERLIN MCMXXXVI” (“OLYMPIC GAMES BERLIN 1936”), unmarked, measuring 36 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
