A well-preserved British Army serviceman’s pocketwatch, constructed of a plated non-magnetic steel casing, featuring a black dial with white hour markers 1-12 in Arabic numerals, graded at five second intervals, featuring hour and minute hands with an additional 60-second stopwatch situated at the lower half, retaining a yellowed plastic face and topped by a pendant, crown, and bow, the case back bearing an engraved inscription of “GS/TP” for General Service Time Piece or General Service Trade Pattern, situated above a serial number of “3711-C”, with C and broad arrow below, the interior of the case back bearing an additional marks denoting STURDY NICKEL SILVER with number 4207959, the mechanisms bearing a maker’s mark of “WALTHAM PREMIER 16s”, along with the country U.S.A and numbered 30814250, with 17 Jewels measuring 52 mm (w) x 63.7 mm (h), minor scratching is visible, plastic covering is loose and pops off with ease, untested, a very fine example of a timepiece commonly issued to British Army personnel.
